NOTE: This wine is playful but NOT SWEET! Pet Nat is sparkling wine’s hip and unpredictable cousin. This one is juicy, not funky or cloudy AT ALL, and comes in a crown-cap bottle since she’s fizzy but not powerfully sparkling like a Champagne or Cava. Try it with sweet n sour chicken/tofu, steamed fish, and THANKSGIVING DINNER!

Though Pet Nat wines have come to define the natural wine movement it is important to remember that funkiness, cloudiness, and sourness are NOT inherently part of the style of Pet Nats! Just because these two things became popular at the same time does not mean they are the same thing. Petillant Naturel simply describes the METHOD: a SINGLE fermentation, which happens in THE SAME BOTTLE IT’S SOLD IN. (FUN!) By comparison Champagne/Cava/Cremant (all are made the same way) is fermented TWO TIMES: Once in a tank, where it becomes wine, and then a second time in the bottle, where it gets its bubbles.

PET NATS ARE NOT ALWAYS FUNKY! SOME ARE PINK N FRUITY N FIZZY N FUN!
